Meet Megan

Hi, My name is Megan and I am a registered Psychologist and board approved supervisor with over 9 years of experience supporting people of all ages.

I am passionate about the benefits of therapy and feel so honoured that I am able to work along side you on your journey. Everyone is an expert on themselves, and it is my role to support people to be whoever they want to be. I enjoy working with complexities and feel so privileged to be able to sit with people when they are having a hard time. I aim to be neuro-affirming, LGBTQIA+ inclusive and culturally sensitive.

In my free time, I love to read, walk my dog, hang out with my bird and family. While I love yoga, I find it hard to fit into my schedule (I get it we're all busy). I also love plants and being out in nature, I know what a surprise!

Professional Experience

I have worked with many different presentations, across a few different workplaces. I am based in the Illawarra and have had various roles supported children, adolescents, adults and families. Both with individual and groups. I have extensive expereince using telehealth (video or phone counselling) as a means of supporting people. I aim to collaboratively work together to determine what will be the best way of working together.

I have been a board-approved supervisor since early 2020 and can provide supervision to Provisional Psychologists (primary for the 4+2 and 5+1 programs or secondary for the registrar program), psychologists and any other mental health professionals. As a supervisor, my aim is to support you with reflective practice and case reflections. I am passionate about therapists having the ability to recognise their impact in the therapy room and how we can work with what naturally comes up in that space.

I have experience using the following modalities:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

  • Motivational Interviewing
